Geographical position
Santa Ana is located in the central part of the state, west of the Orecopeć River (a tributary of the River ), approximately 81 kilometers south of Barcelona , the state’s administrative center. The absolute height is 252 meters above sea level [1] .
Climate
The climate of the city is characterized as tropical, with dry winters and rainy summers ( Aw in the Köppen climate classification ). The average annual rainfall is 955 mm. The least amount of precipitation falls in March (5 mm), the largest amount - in August (185 mm). The average annual temperature is 26.8 ° C [2] .
Population
According to the National Institute of Statistics of Venezuela, the population of the city in 2013 was 11,256 people [3] .
