Gameplay
The main gameplay is tied to the confrontation of the protagonist with groups of opponents. The player can use several types of weapons and explosives, as well as deliver blows in close combat. The main feature of the game is the destructible environment. Due to this, the situation around the player is constantly changing. In addition, the developers announced a unique artificial intelligence of the opponents, which adapts to the actions of the player, each time changing the behavior model.
Multiplayer game is available in competitive and cooperative mode. In the first case, the game takes place in the classic battle mode to death (team or as "each for himself"). Cooperative mode allows a couple of players to fend off advancing waves of opponents.
Story
The protagonist of the game is Jackson, a former soldier hired by the mysterious Network organization, which deals with resolving international conflicts. The hero becomes a participant in fierce hostilities, but soon realizes that concrete people are behind all this.

Bodycount received “mixed” critical reviews for both platforms in line with Metacritic.
The Guardian gave the game 3 stars out of 5, noting that the game "is not the future for first-person shooters, but it's fun." The Daily Telegraph gave the game 2.5 stars out of 5, giving a comment: “Although the game claims to be a response to bloated, scripted first-person shooters, it cannot be more than what it is. She boasts of her destructible environments, which were better made in Battlefield: Bad Company . Bodycount is not a bad game, it is simply inconsistent and unremarkable. ”Nevertheless, The Digital Fix gave the same version only 4 points out of 10, calling Bodycount“ poorly thought out, poorly made and erratic, which neither amuses nor justifies its price. All this was done before her and damn many times - save your money. ”
As a result of such a cool reception, Codemasters closed Guildford Studio, firing 70 employees, reducing their studio staff by a third.
