Biography

Lyudmila Vasilieva was born in a family far from aviation , according to official data on February 7, according to her mother, on February 3, 1935.

Early childhood passed in the Far East (in Khabarovsk and Khabarovsk Territory), in 1946 the family moved to the village. Nikolskoye, Moscow Region.

In 1952, having overcome the resistance of the family, she began to study at the 2nd Moscow City Aero Club ( Chertanovo ), after the end of the program of which she was sent to the Central United Flight Technical School of the USSR DOSAAF .

After graduating from the Central Flight Technical School of DOSAAF in Saransk (1953–1955), Lyudmila Vasilyeva returned to the 2nd Moscow City Aero Club as an instructor, and from 1963 she continued to work as an instructor pilot at the Central Aero Club. V.P. Chkalov .

Working as an instructor pilot from 1955 to 1964, she trained and graduated 80 pilots.

Since 1958, a multiple participant in air parades and demonstrations, including "head to head" paired with Margarita Kirsanova. It was the first in the USSR purely female aerobatic team "head to head" [1] .

The original number of Lyudmila Vasilyeva at the parades was an inverted flight at an altitude of 50 m above the ground. She was a member of the USSR national aerobatics team (1963-1969), won 14 medals based on her participation in international championships and competitions of the USSR.

In 1964 - became the silver medalist of the World Championship in aerobatics in Spain .

Lyudmila Vasilieva has more than 3,000 hours of flying on Yak-18 airplanes of all modifications, Coach-326 and sports jet airplanes .

He is the holder of a pilot certificate of the International Aviation Federation (FAI) No. 28.

After the birth of her daughter in 1969 she stopped doing flight work. In the 1970s performed judicial work, after which she retired and devoted herself to the family.
