Inuse [1] [2] ( Greek Οινούσσες ), Enoussi [3] ( other Greek Οἰνοῦσσαι ) is a group of islands in the Aegean Sea surrounding the island of the same name , belonging to Greece and located two kilometers northeast of Chios and eight kilometers west of the coast of Asia Minor . It is part of the community of the same name (dim) in the peripheral unit of Chios in the periphery of the North Aegean Islands . The population of 826 inhabitants according to the 2011 census, all live in three settlements on the main island [4] . The community area of Inuse is 17.427 square kilometers [5] .

The name Enusa (Inuse) means “rich in excellent wine” [6] from other Greek. οἶνος " wine ." They were also known as Spalmadores ( lat. Spalmadores ) [3] .
The islands mention Herodotus [7] and Thucydides [8] .
