Vincenz Geiger ( German: Vinzenz Geiger ; born July 24, 1997 , Obersdorf , Germany ) is a German double-wrestler , prize-winner of the World Cup in biathlon , 2017 world champion among juniors in the 5 km race, participant in the 2018 Olympic Games .

Career
Vincenz Geiger began his international career at the Continental Cup in January 2015. And almost a year later, on December 5, 2015, he made his debut at the World Cup in Lillehammer , where he took 31st place in the debut competition. But he failed to gain a foothold in the main team and the German was again exiled to the Continental Cup, where he managed to win in Ramsau. In February, the athlete took part in the 2016 World Junior Championships in Romanian Rasnov , where he won two silver medals: in the personal 10 km race and in the relay.
Since the 2016/2017 season, Vincenz has been playing in the World Cup on an ongoing basis. On December 18, 2016, he first hit the podium at the World Cup in Ramsau , Austria, where he lost only to two teammates Eric Frenzel and Fabian Riessl . In February 2017, at the Junior World Championships in Solgeo Hollow, Geiger won the gold medal in the 5 km race. However, he did not enter the main team of Germany at the 2017 World Ski Championships.
