Biography

Club career

The pupil of sports school "Locomotive" (Kherson). The first trainer is V. Sokolov [1] .

On a professional level, he began performing in 1978 at Lokomotiv . For two seasons he became a player of the main squad and a leader modest in capabilities, even by the standards of the second league of the Kherson team.

In 1980 he moved to Donetsk Shakhtar . He spent two seasons in the team and, not seeing any particular prospects to gain a foothold in the main team, accepted the proposal to move to the first-team Tavria from Simferopol, where on average he will score one goal in two matches. In 1983, with 25 goals, he will become the top scorer of the USSR Championship in the First League.

He will spend two and a few good seasons in the Kharkov Metalist .

Ram-type footballer, powerful not particularly fast, but with excellent scoring flair and fighting qualities. He could easily demolish several guardians and score a goal. Well interacted with teammates.

He will complete his professional career in 1987 in Simferopol Tavria , in the history of which he will be recognized as one of the best football players and will be included in the list of 50 best players in the club’s history [3] .

After completing his career, he worked as a coach in Kherson " Crystal ".
