Sithonia ( Greek Δήμος Σιθωνίας [2] ) is a community (dim) in Greece on the peninsula of the same name on the shores of the Casandra and Aion Oros bays in the peripheral unit of Chalkidiki in the periphery of Central Macedonia . The population of 12,394 is the 2011 census. [2] Area 516.848 square kilometers [1] . The density of 23.98 people per square kilometer [2] . The administrative center is Nikiti . Ioanis Dzidzios ( Ιωάννης Τζίτζιος ) was elected the Dimarch in the local elections of 2014.

In 2011, under the Kallikratis program , the abolished Toroni community was added to the Sithonia community [3] .
The community includes the islands of Dyaporos and Kelifos [4] .
