Alfredo Ardila (born September 4, 1946) is a Colombian neuropsychologist living in Miami , USA .

Biography
He studied psychology at the National University of Colombia and received his doctorate in neuropsychology from MV Lomonosov Moscow State University [1] , where he worked with Alexander Luria . He has published works on cognitive and behavioral sciences, especially on neuropsychology .
Ardila is the president of the Latin American Association of Neuropsychology, the Latin American Society of Neuropsychology, the Latin American Neuropsychological Society, and a member of the Board of Governors of the International Neuropsychological Society.
He received several academic awards, including the National Psychology Award ( Colombia , 1980), the Alejandro Angel Escobar Award in the Science category (Colombia, 1997), the Latin American Neurobiology Clinical Neuropsychology Consortium Award ( Spain , 2012) [2] and the Vygotsky Honorary Award ( Portugal , 2016).
He is a professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders of Florida International University (Miami) [3] . He is also an honorary professor at the School of Medicine of Chile University , an honorary member of the School of Medicine at the University of Antioquia, and a visiting professor at the Department of Psychology at Moscow State University.
Author of over 200 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and over 20 books.
