Biography
Alexander Demidov was born on March 7, 1864. By religion he was Orthodox . He graduated from the cadet corps [1] .
August 29, 1883 entered the service of the Russian Imperial Army . In 1885 he graduated from the Pavlovsk Military School , from which he was released into the 119th Infantry Regiment of Kolomna . On August 14, 1884, he received seniority as a lieutenant , on August 14, 1888 he received seniority as a lieutenant , and on March 15, 1894 he received seniority as a captain . Then he graduated from the Officer Rifle School , with a rating of "successful." For eight years and 11 months he commanded a company. May 6, 1900 received seniority with the rank of captain [1] .
He took part in the Russian-Japanese war . In 1905, "for military distinction" was promoted to lieutenant colonel , with seniority from September 28, 1904. As of May 15, 1913, he served in the 147th Samara Infantry Regiment . Took part in the First World War . As of April 4, 1915 he served in the 6th Finland Rifle Regiment . April 4, 1915 "for differences in affairs" was held in colonels , with seniority from September 18, 1914. As of September 1915, he served in the same rank and regiment. March 30, 1916 was appointed commander of the 5th Finland Rifle Regiment . As of August 1, 1916, he served in the same rank and position. April 15, 1917 was promoted to major general . As of August 4, 1917, he was the commander of the 2nd Finland Rifle Division [1] .
After the October Revolution, remained in Russia. He lived in Leningrad , where he received a pension. In 1931 he was repressed in the case of "Spring" [1] .
