Svetlana Igorevna Luchitskaya (born May 12, 1960) - Russian historian, doctor of historical sciences (2002). He heads the Center for Cultural and Historical Anthropology of the Institute of General History of the Russian Academy of Sciences .

Biography

Born on May 12, 1960 in the family of geologist Igor Luchitsky , great-granddaughter of medievalist I. V. Luchitsky . In 1982 she received a diploma from the Faculty of History of Moscow State University . Since 1982 she has been working at the Institute of Universal History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and since 1998 she has also held the position of leading researcher at the Institute of World Culture, Moscow State University [1] . In 1989 she became a candidate of historical sciences, thesis: "The ruling class of the Kingdom of Jerusalem: structure, evolution, features." In 2002 she received her doctoral degree, the thesis topic: "The Image of Islam in the Chronicles of the Crusades." Deputy Glavred editor, compiler and regular author of the publication “Odyssey. The man in history. In the course of work on this periodical, she organized a number of conferences [2] . She was a member of the editorial board and wrote several articles for the encyclopedia "Dictionary of medieval culture." Now she is engaged in the theme of the history of Christian ideas about believers of other faiths and medieval iconography .

Took part in international conferences and round tables: Clermont-Ferrand (1995), Toulouse (1995), Göttingen (1997), Leeds (1998), Jerusalem (1999), Paderborn (2003). In 1995, as a fellow of the DAAD ( German Academic Exchange Service ), she lectured at the universities of Würzburg and Munich . In 1996–1997, she was a scholar of the House of Human Sciences ( Paris , D. Diderot scholarship); in 2003, she received an invitation to give a course of lectures at the Graduate School of Social Sciences (Paris).

She has published about 100 scientific papers (including in foreign languages).
