Geographical position

The village is located in southern Chad, on the banks of the seasonally drying Kurukutu River, at an altitude of 517 meters above sea ​​level [1] . The village is located at a distance of approximately 405 kilometers southeast of the country's capital N'Djamena .

According to the 2009 official census, the population of Ngangara was 14,612 people (7,000 men and 7,612 women). The population of the prefecture by age range was as follows: 54.9% - residents under 15 years old, 41.9% - between 15 and 59 years old and 3.2% - aged 60 years and older [2] .
