Gundi [1] ( FR. Goundi ) is a city and suprefecture in Chad , located in the Mandul region. It is part of the East Mandul department.

Geographical position
The city is located in southern Chad, east of the seasonally drying river Nam, at an altitude of 508 meters above sea level [2] . The village is located at a distance of approximately 388 kilometers southeast of the country's capital N'Djamena .
Population
According to the 2009 official census, the population of Gundi was 73,141 people (35,229 men and 37,912 women). The population of the prefecture by age range was as follows: 53.8% - residents under 15 years old, 42.5% - between 15 and 59 years old and 3.7% - aged 60 years and older [3] .
Transport
To the north of the city is a small airport of the same name [2] .
