Geographical position

The city is located in southern Chad, east of the seasonally drying river Nam, at an altitude of 508 meters above sea ​​level [2] . The village is located at a distance of approximately 388 kilometers southeast of the country's capital N'Djamena .

Population

According to the 2009 official census, the population of Gundi was 73,141 people (35,229 men and 37,912 women). The population of the prefecture by age range was as follows: 53.8% - residents under 15 years old, 42.5% - between 15 and 59 years old and 3.7% - aged 60 years and older [3] .

Transport

To the north of the city is a small airport of the same name [2] .
