Josh O'Connor ( born Josh O'Connor ; born May 20, 1990 , Cheltenham , England , UK ) is a British actor. Most famous for his role as Johnny Saxby in the film " God's Land ", for which he won the British independent film award in the category "Best Actor" [1] .

Early life
O'Connor was born in Cheltenham , England on May 20, 1990. [2] He studied at the Bristol Theater School, which he graduated in 2011 [3] .
Career
His first television role for Josh was in the 2012 Lewis television series, where he appeared in one episode. In 2015, he played the role of Richie in Stephen Frears ' biopic, Doping. The following year, he appeared in the movie Florence Foster Jenkins , starring Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant .
In 2017, he starred in the British drama film “ God's Land ” as Johnny Saxby. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 23, 2017. The film received critical acclaim and multiple awards. [4]
In May 2018, it was announced that O'Connor will play the role of Prince Charles in the Netflix series The Crown [5] .
