Bedaya [1] ( French: Bédaya ) is a small town and suprefecture in Chad , located in the Mandul region. It is part of the East Mandul department.

Geographical position
The city is located in the southern part of Chad, on the left bank of the Mandul River, at an altitude of 508 meters above sea level [2] . The village is located at a distance of approximately 460 kilometers southeast of the country's capital N'Djamena .
Population
According to the 2009 official census, the population of Bedai was 22,058 people (10,780 men and 11,278 women). The population of the prefecture by age range was as follows: 49.9% - residents under 15 years old, 46.7% - between 15 and 59 years old and 4.4% - aged 60 years and older [3] .
