Georie Boué ( French: Géori Boué ) October 16, 1918, Toulouse , France - January 5, 2017, Paris ) - French opera singer, soprano. Bue's theatrical career is mainly associated with the French opera repertoire.

Biography
Bue studied at the Toulouse Conservatory, where she studied vocals, piano and harp. At the age of sixteen she won the vocal competition and in 1934 made her debut in small roles, such as Urben in the Huguenots of Meyerbeer , Siebel in the Faust of Gounod , Stefano in Romeo and Juliet of Gounod. Soon followed by larger roles: the title role in the opera Mireille by Gounod and Michaela in Carmen by Bizet .
The singer’s Paris debut took place in Opera Comic in 1939 as Mimi in “ Bohemia ” by Puccini : Bue sang in the thousandth anniversary performance of the opera in the Favard Hall on May 3, 1951. Sang Lakme ( Delibes , “ Lakme ”), at the two thousandth performance on January 18, 1952, she performed the part of Manon ( Massenet , “ Manon ”). She participated in the first production of the operetta Ana “Sibuletta” in Opera-Comic [5] . She first appeared on the stage of the Paris National Opera in 1942 as Margarita in Faust, then she sang Juliet (Romeo and Juliet), Thais and Salome ( Tais and Herodias Jules Massenet), Louise ( Charpentier , Louise "), Gilda, Violetta and Desdemona ( Rigoletto , Traviata and Othello Verdi ), Toscu and Cio-Cio-san ( Tosca and Madame Butterfly by Puccini), Tatyana ( Tchaikovsky , Eugene Onegin " ), other leading parties. Shone in the role of Mireille [6] . She sang both in the classical operetta (“ Beautiful Elena ” by Offenbach , “The Merry Widow ” by Lehar ), and in modern operas (“Le fou” and “Les Adieux” by Landowski , “Columbus” by Damaz ).
Bue's international stage career began at Liceo in Barcelona . In La Scala, the singer played the role of Melisande ( Debussy , “ Pelléas and Melisande ”) under the direction of de Sabat in 1949. She performed in Mexico City , Rio de Janeiro , Chicago . At the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow in 1956 she sang Tatyana. Bue did not like to travel and preferred to be with her family, so the singer did not make a significant international career.
Georie Bue played the title role in the feature film Sasha Guitry "Malibran". In this work, the ability to accompany herself on the piano helped her.
Critics noted among the merits of the singer "a bright timbre, delightful diction, a thoughtful approach to interpretation and an impressive artistic talent." Georie Bue died in January 2017 at the age of 98 years [7] .
Bue left the scene in 1970, teaching [8] .
She was married to the French baritone Roger Bourdin, had two daughters. Her daughter Francoise Bourdin is a famous writer.
