Fayed Mustafa ( Arabic: فائد خالد عبد مصطفى ; born July 23, 1965 , Deir Balut, Palestine) is a Palestinian diplomat , the current Palestinian ambassador to Turkey. On June 17, 2015 he presented his credentials to the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan [1] .

Biography

Fayed Mustafa ( Arabic: فائد خالد عبد مصطفى ) was born July 23, 1965 in Deir Balut, Palestine. In 1987, he received a bachelor's degree in economics and administration from Yarmouk University in Jordan. He studied in the specialty "History" (supervisor - E. M. Savicheva) at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN). In 2001, he graduated with a master's degree in history.

Later, in 2001 - 2005 he studied at the graduate school of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. He defended his thesis on the specialty "International Relations". Received a PhD degree. Wanting to improve the educational level, he studied in Palestine in continuing education courses in diplomacy and strategy.

Since 1994, he began working in the government of the Palestinian National Authority. Speaking Russian, in 1998 he got a job at the Embassy of the State of Palestine in the Russian Federation. Since 2003, he served as Consul of the Embassy of the State of Palestine in the Russian Federation. Later he worked as Deputy Ambassador to the Embassy of the State of Palestine in the Russian Federation (2008), Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PNA for Eastern Europe with the rank of Ambassador to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Palestine in Ramallah (2009), Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to the Russian Federation (December 16, 2009 years - May 28, 2015) [3] .

Fayed Mustafa is the author of several articles on the development of Palestinian-Russian relations. He called for the restoration of the 1967 borders with Israel and the Palestinian territories [4] .

Since June 2015, he has been working as the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Turkey. Married, has three children.

Rewards

  • He was awarded the Order of Gorchakov of the 2nd degree for outstanding services and great personal contribution to the cooperation between Palestine and Russia (2007).
