Cigar horse mackerel or tenfold horse mackerel or skad [1] ( lat. Decapterus ) is a genus of marine fish from the family of horse mackerel (Carangidae). Body length from 25 to 50 cm [2] . They are very similar to representatives of the horse mackerel family. The main sign of the genus is the additional fins, one of which is located behind the second dorsal, and the second - anal fins. Their bodies are almost round in cross section. Along the straight back of the lateral line there are bone scutes. The teeth are small, located on the jaws, opener, palatine bones, and also usually on the tongue. The mouth is final. They live in the tropical waters of the Pacific, Indian and Atlantic oceans [3] .
