Career

In 1981, Eisenberg received a bachelor's degree in chemistry at Moscow State University , and in 1984 there - a master's degree in physical chemistry [1] . In 1996, she received a Ph.D. in structural biology from the Weizmann Institute . She conducted her research with George Whiteside at Harvard University, studying micro / nano-processing and near-field optics. In 1998, she joined Bell's technical staff, where she contributed to a number of innovations, including the development of new biomimetic approaches to the synthesis of ordered mineral films with highly controlled shapes and orientations and the discovery of unique biological optical systems that are superior to technological analogues and also characterize related organic molecules with them [7] .

In 2007, Eisenberg joined the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences [2] [8] .

In the laboratory, she studies a wide range of topics, including biomimetics , self-assembly, adaptive materials, crystallography , surface wettability, nano-processing, bio-optics, biomaterials and biomechanics [9] .

Marked by (2015) and Havinga Medal from Havinga Foundation (2017).
