Biography
Born in 1940 in Ecuador . He went to study in the USSR . He graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peoples' Friendship. Patrice Lumumba with a degree in mining in 1966 [1] .
In 1970-1974 held the position of director of the group for the development of mineral deposits in southern Ecuador and the group of developers of the geological map of the cities of Ambato and Cuenca . Engaged in teaching. In 1980-1984 - Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Physics, Mathematics and Natural Sciences of the Central University of Ecuador . Since 1984 - Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Geology and Energy of Ecuador. Since 1987 - Director of the Higher Research Institute at the Department of Geology, Mines and Oil of the Central University of Ecuador. In 1991-1995 - Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Central University of Ecuador. Since 1995 - Member of the Academy of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences of Russia and the International Academy of Natural Resources. He was an adviser to the president of Ecuador, Rafael Correa, on geology and mining. He was the author of a number of scientific papers [1] .
During his work, traveled all over Ecuador, and the province of Loja almost completely walked around [2] . Compiled the first metallogenic map of the country. He strove to create a special area for the development of metal mining in southeast Ecuador [3] .
He was married to Lyudmila Baranova [1] .
He died on August 15, 2015 [3] .
