Angel de Castro is one of the most powerful and influential people in Mexico. He is married to Carolina, a beautiful woman, at the wedding they vowed to each other not to change fidelity. The family is growing up children Alicia, Alma, Armando and Andres, so Armando told his parents that he would study for a lawyer, and Andres said he would study for a specialist in the field of agriculture. Alma is in love with Raul, but Angel de Castro, her father, is against their relationship. Alicia is an excellent student in the field of philosophy and literature, but she goes only to the institute and back, she does not go anywhere else because of fears and nightmares and from time to time she does not leave the room. Alicia can only be helped by a psychology professor Roberto Olmedo, falling in love with her and helping to overcome all the hardships in life.
