Ayr Lake ) [2] is a lake on the northeast coast of Baffin Island in the Kikiktani region of the Canadian territory of Nunavut [2] . Geography
Tasialuk is located east of the Sam-Ford and Eglinton fjords and extends from the north-east to the south-west for about 60 kilometers. The River flows out of the northern part of Tasialuka and dumps its waters into Baffin Bay , 40 kilometers to the northeast.
On Lake Tasialuk there are impressive landscapes with massive peaks about 1400 meters high, rising and looming over the coast, especially in its central part. In the interior of the fjord, the Pass is connected to Eglinton in the west.
Research
The proximity to the Baffin Mountains and the beauty of the landscape attract mountain climbers and adventurers to Tashialuku [4] [5] .
Jason Briner, a professor of geology at the University of Buffalo [6] , an expert on climate change and Arctic glacier responses to this, has repeatedly conducted studies in the Tasialuk area to study the climatic mechanisms that led to the transition from the medieval warm period to the small ice age [7] [8] [ 8] 9] .
