History
After World War II, the economy of North Carolina could no longer depend on traditional agricultural industries. Scientists from North Carolina and the Duke came up with the idea of creating a park so that universities can conduct research together, as well as use the strengths of the area and support graduates in the state.
Research Triangle Park was created to increase innovation in North Carolina. It borders Duke University , the University of North Carolina and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
