Biography

Born on August 17, 1960 in Kharkov .

In 1983 he graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography , course of Arkady Iosifovich Katzman and Lev Dodin . Over the years of study, he played prominent roles in the famous productions of The Brothers Karamazov (staff captain Snegiryov) and Ah, these stars! ( Valery Leontyev ).

From 1983 to 1990 - actor of the Leningrad Maly Drama Theater . The first work on the professional stage was the role of Oscar Borisovich in the play “My Happiness” based on the play by A. Chervinsky . The most famous was the role of Jack in the play “ Lord of the Flies ” based on the novel by W. Golding and Alexander in the play “ Stars in the Morning Sky ” based on the play by A. Galin .

In cinema, the first big role was played in 1984 in the film by M. Ordovsky "Every Ten." He took part in dubbing domestic and foreign films.

He committed suicide on October 31, 1990 [1] [2] , having crashed as a result of a fall from the seventh floor of a hotel window during the filming of the film " Tagged " in Yalta . According to the observer of the " New Literary Review " Olga Egoshina, the circumstances of the death of the actor were not fully clarified [3] . He was buried at the Volkovsky cemetery in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg).

He was a close friend and godfather of actor Alexei Nilov .
