Borden [1] [2] is a peninsula in the north of Baffin Island , Nunavut , Canada . It is located south of the Lancaster Strait . In the northeast of the peninsula is the Sirmilik National Park .

Geography
The Borden Peninsula extends 225 km to the north, and across reaches 169 km [1] .
The northern region, including the Harz Mountains, consists of flat, dissected cliffs rising to 914 meters above sea level. In the south is the Magda plateau, indented by river valleys. The Admiralty Bay forms the western border of the peninsula, while the Admiralty Council Bay runs along the eastern shore and separates the peninsula from Baylot Island .
Population
On the west coast, there is an Inuit village of Arctic Bay with a population of 823 people. (2011).
Industry
On the peninsula, mining has been ongoing for several decades, in particular diamonds [3] .
