Biography

Born on October 8, 1934. In 1956 she graduated from the Leningrad State Pedagogical Institute. Pokrovsky . From 1956 until the end of her life she worked at the Zoological Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (RAS) . In 1967 she defended her thesis on the monograph "Siphonophores of the Seas of the USSR and the North Pacific Ocean." Author and co-author of about 200 works, including two monographs and about 40 popular science articles. Author and co-author of more than 40 new species and genera of cnidarians. One of active popularizers of the Zoological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Zoological Museum in St. Petersburg. Co-author of essays on NN Vorontsov , KN Nesis , Ya.I. Starobogatov , AV Ivanov, and others. Editor of 34 monographs and collections of works ZIN .
