Bristol City won the League Cup and 2 years later returned to the Championship , having issued the 16-game series without any defeats and finished the championship with the best goal difference. MK Dons moved Preston North End from second place to the last round of the championship after the Lancashire club lost in Colchester. But in the end, Preston entered the Championship through the playoffs, defeating Chesterfield and Swindon with the same score 4-0.

At the bottom of the Yeovil Town standings, who left the Championship last season, this time he flew into the second league . “ Leighton Orient ” also got into the relegation zone, a season earlier fighting for a ticket to the Championship (lost to Rotherham United 2-0 on a penalty spot). Crawley Town and Notts County looked like clear candidates for relegation to the second league of the 2015/16 season.
