Elku street ( Latvian. Elku iela , from Latvian. Elks - idol, deity ) is a short (85 meters [1] ) dead-end street in Riga . Located in the Vidzeme suburb , in the micro district of Bras . It starts from Senchu Street , runs southwest and ends in a dead end. It does not intersect with other streets.

It has asphalt throughout. Built up by apartment buildings, built mainly in the 1930s [2] . Public transport does not run along the street.
History
The newly constructed street was laid from Senchu Street to the territory of the former Varonis rubber products factory (now the shopping center - 155 Brivibas St. ). The name of the street was assigned on July 9, 1937 [2] . There were no renamed streets [3] [4] .
For many years, until the end of his life, Elsa Radzinya, People's Artist of the USSR (1917-2005), lived on Elku Street [2] .
