Aisha Shan , or Aisha Shan ( Turkish Ayşe Şan ; 1938 , Diyarbakir , Turkey - 1996 , Izmir , Turkey ) - Turkish singer of Kurdish origin. She is considered the most significant singer in modern Kurdish music.

Biography
Aisha Shan was born in 1938 in the Turkish city of Diyarbakir . My father was a Danebee ( Kurd. Dengbêj ) (performer of Kurdish folk songs).
Since 1958, AIChE has performed songs at local festivals. After an unsuccessful marriage, she moved to the city of Gaziantep , where she recorded Turkish songs for a local radio station. Subsequently, she moved to Istanbul in 1960. In this city, the singer released her first Kurdish-language album. In 1979, she visited Iraqi Kurdistan , where she met with such famous singers and musicians as Mehmed Arif Jizziri and Tahsin Taha . Since the 1980s, she settled in London , where she worked at the local post office until her death. Died of cancer.
Xerîbim Dayê is one of her most famous songs. It tells about the death of his mother, a sad page from the life of the singer.
