History
The election took place on October 7, 2018. The results should be announced by the Constitutional Council of Cameroon on October 21, 2018 [1] . However, the very next day after the election, candidate Maurice Camto announced his victory over the current president and other candidates for the post of head of the country [2] .
On October 22, incumbent President Paul Biya was officially declared the winner [3] .
