Men's skeleton competitions at the 2018 Winter Olympics were held on February 15 and 16 . The venue of the competition was the Alpensia sledding center , located in close proximity to the village of Dekvalmyeon, in Pyeongchang County. The competition was attended by 30 athletes from 20 countries. South Korean skeleton player Yoon Sung Bin , who won all four races, became the Olympic champion. For the third time in a row and the fourth in the last five Games, the representative of the host country of the Olympic Games becomes the Olympic champion. The silver medal was won by Russian Nikita Tregubov , who spoke because of the disqualification of the Russian Olympic Committee under the Olympic flag, and before the last attempt he took only 4th place. The bronze medal went to Briton Dominic Parsons . Two-time silver medalist of the Olympic Games Martins Dukurs , who took second place after three attempts, showed only the fifth result in the last race and dropped to the final fourth position.
For the first time, athletes from China, Ukraine, Israel, Jamaica, and Ghana performed in the skeleton at the Olympic Games.
