It was named after the village Kuchino, which later became part of the city of Zheleznodorozhny and became its microdistrict .
It consists of two platforms connected by an underground passage. On the platform in the direction of Moscow there is a brick pavilion built in 1960s. There are two ticket offices located in a brick pavilion on the platform to the trains in the direction of Moscow . In 2011, on the platform in the direction of Moscow, installed ticket dispensers. In 2016, a new platform was built away from Moscow, as part of the reconstruction of the line segment. With the construction of the fourth way, the platform will be used for two directions. The passenger traffic of the platform is high due to the built residential areas in the area, as well as transit passengers commuting from electric trains to buses and route taxis to part of the neighboring Balashikha districts.
The platform without stopping is about 10-15 electric trains per day in both directions (not counting the express trains).
To the east of the platform is a bridge over the river Pekhorka . The main part of residential areas is located south of the platform, including South Street. To the south-west of it is a holiday village.
Travel time from the Kursk railway station is 28-32 minutes.

History
The Kuchino platform appeared near the village of Kuchino and the Ryabushinsk estate in 1898 . At that time, the platform did not have arrows and a semaphore and was intended for stopping suburban trains and boarding and disembarking passengers without luggage. On the platform was a tall pole with a signal light and the words “Kuchino”. Entrance and exit to the platform was carried out through a special door in the mesh fence. For the convenience of passengers, a wooden covered canopy with benches was arranged. A heated booth with a window for selling tickets was installed on the side of the shed [2] .
