Club
In 2013, in the OHL draft, he was chosen by the Ottawa Sixties Sevens club under the general 1st number and became the owner of the Jack Ferguson Award . According to the results of the first season, OHL became the leader of the league in the number of points scored and goals scored among beginners. He also won the Emms Family Award , a prize for the best newcomer to the OHL.
Before the season 2014/2015 he was appointed captain of the Sixty Sevens [3] . In the season he spent 60 matches in which he scored 68 (29 + 39) points.
In the NHL draft, 2015 was selected in the 1st round under the general 24th number by the Philadelphia Flyers club. On July 16, 2015, he signed a 3-year rookie contract with Philadelphia. [four]
He started the 2015/2016 season with Ottawa Sixti Sevens for which he spent 29 matches, after which he was exchanged for Sarnia Sting.
For the Flyers, he debuted on October 14, 2016 in a match against the Los Angeles Kings , in which he made two assists. He scored his first goal in the NHL on October 25, 2016 against the Buffalo Sabers . [five]
International
Represents Canada internationally. In 2014, he became the bronze medalist of the junior world championship . In 2016, he took part in the youth world championship , but the Canadian team was not able to win medals, taking the 6th place in the tournament. In 2017, as part of the main national team of Canada, he took part in the World Cup and won a silver medal, losing in the finals of the Swedish national team .
