About the album
Album tracks were recorded at 9 different concert venues in Europe during the Fear of the Dark world tour. This album includes songs from Somewhere in Time (1986) to Fear of the Dark (1992), while A Real Dead One contains only songs from an earlier period.
The cover design was designed by British artist Derek Riggs who has long collaborated with Iron Maiden.
The song "Fear of the Dark" was released as a separate single.
A Real Live One was reissued in 1998 as a two-disc release - A Real Live One and A Real Dead One .
