P / 1-7

P / 1-7 - a cave located in the Arabica massif in the territory of Abkhazia [2] . It was discovered by the Krasnoyarsk expedition under the leadership of V. Vaskevich in 1968, it was secondarily discovered and studied in 1983-1985 by cavers of the Perovsky Club under the direction of A. I. Ignatov. The length of the cave moves is 480 meters (projective length - 160 meters), its depth - 330 meters, volume - 4800 cubic meters (area - 370 m²). The entrance to the cave is located at an altitude of about 2300 meters above sea level to the west of the peak of the Umbrella, in the tract Chamkhonia [3] .

Description of the cave

The cave is located in the Upper Jurassic limestones . It noted increased stone fouling; according to the complexity of passing the cave, category 3A was assigned. The cavity begins with a series of wells, respectively 23, 10 and 20 meters deep, reaching 65 meters at the end of the third total depth. From here the mine branches. To the south-west is a well 25 meters deep and a chain of ledges ending in a dead end in the form of a cork in a narrow crack at a depth of 120 meters. To the northeast, the wells alternate with narrow slots, ending with a cork at a depth of 330 meters. Intermittent sediments in the cave are rare, landslide and alluvial prevail.
