According to the CIS Electric Power Council, the total installed capacity of power plants in Uzbekistan at the end of 2017 was 14,140 MW, including 12,129 MW - capacity of thermal power plants , 1,878.7 MW - hydroelectric power stations , 132.9 MW - others. In 2017, power plants in Uzbekistan generated a total of 60.7 billion kWh of electric energy [1] [2] .

The only Uzbekistan wind farm, which is an experimental one, is owned by the state JSC Uzbekhydroenergo.
