Montanay (also a beam without a name ; Ukrainian Montanay , Crimean-Tat. Montanay, Montanay ) is a low-water beam (stream) in the foothills of the internal ridge of the Crimean Mountains in the territory of the Belogorsky district, the right tributary of the Zuya River. The length of the watercourse is 14.0 kilometers, the catchment area is 33.0 km² [2] .

Geography
The beginning of the beam is located in the area of the village of Kurortnoye and runs in a general direction to the north [3] . According to the reference book “Surface water bodies of the Crimea”, 2 nameless tributaries, Montanay flows into Zuya 25 kilometers from the mouth [2] , near the northern outskirts of the village of Litvinenkovo [4] , the water protection zone of the beam is set at 100 m [5] .

In the reference book “Surface water bodies of the Crimea” the watercourse is listed as a beam without a name [2] . In the work of Peter Simon Pallas, "Observations made during a trip to the southern governorates of the Russian state in 1793-1794" - an insignificant Manta stream [6] ; on the other hand, on the majority of available maps of the 19th — 20th centuries, beginning with the map of Semyon Mukhin in 1817 to the map of the General Staff of the Red Army 1951, the object is signed as a stream or Montanay ravine [7] [8] [9] [10] . At the same time, in the “List of Populated Places of the Tauride Province according to the Information of 1864” , the village of Fridental is recorded as located at the stream without name [11] .
