The 2018 World Nomad Games was attended by over 1,500 athletes from 66 countries who competed in 37 traditional sports. [one]
In 2018, athletes will take part in sports such as:
- Kok Boru (Kөk bөrү kyrg.) (Equestrian sport, somewhat similar to football, instead of a ball, a carcass of a ram, a goat or rubber analogs),
- Toguz Korgool (logical competition),
- Fight
- Kyrgyz kurosh (kүrөsh kyrg.) (A type of struggle where you need to throw the opponent on your back to win),
- Alyshuu (freestyle wrestling),
- Arkan Tartu (team tug of war)
- Ordo (alchiki - a game using chips from ram bones),
- Horse racing
- Eagle hunting
- Archery and many other games, as well as some national games of the participating countries.
In the previous Games in 2016, athletes from 80 countries took part, including non-traditionally nomadic ones [2] [3] [4]
