Callum's father is Scottish, and his mother was born in Zimbabwe . Grandmother from South Africa . Paterson was born in London, but when he was three years old the family moved to Scotland. His cousin, Michael Travis, is also a professional footballer.

Content

Club career

Paterson began his professional career at the Hart of Midlothian . On August 4, 2012, in the match against St. Johnstone , he debuted in the Scottish Premier League [2] . On September 22, in a duel against Dundee United , Callum made a “double”, scoring his first goals for Hearts [3] . In his second season, he scored 11 goals, but this did not help his team stay in the elite. Paterson stayed at the club and helped him return to the elite a year later. In 2017, he was recognized as the best young player in the club.

In the summer of 2017, Paterson’s contract expired and he joined the Welsh Cardiff City as a free agent. [4] On October 21, in the match against Middlesbrough , he made his debut in the Championship. [5] On November 21, Callum scored his first goal for Cardiff City in a fight against Barnsley [6] .

International Career

On May 29, 2016, in a friendly match against Italy, Paterson made his debut for Scotland [7] .
