Biography
Origin
The Ogibenin clan comes from the village of Visim, according to legend the name came from the nickname of Kerzhak Gregory - Ogiben [1] .
According to Ogibenin, he was born in Tyumen, but in one surviving pre-war source, Geneva ( Switzerland ) is indicated as the birthplace.
Education
In 1925-1928 he studied at the Omsk Art and Industrial College named after M. Vrubel.
From 1928 to 1932 he lived in Leningrad , where he studied at the Leningrad Art College (1929-1932) and the group of Kazimir Malevich (1929).
Life in Novosibirsk
In 1932 he moved to Novosibirsk, worked in the βArtistβ partnership, then - in the Novosibirsk branch of the RSFSR Art Fund.
During the Great Patriotic War he participated in the work on the windows of TASS .
From 1944 to 1947, he was chairman of the Novosibirsk Union of Soviet Artists, and also for some time was chairman of the artistic council of the Novosibirsk branch of the HF RSFSR.
In 1959-1960 - Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Novosibirsk City People's University of Culture.
