Jeleniewo ( Polish: Jeleniewo ) is a village in the Suwalk district of Podlaskie Voivodeship of Poland . The administrative center of the commune is Elenevo . Located about 11 km north of the city center of Suwalki . According to the 2011 census, 641 people lived in the village [1] .

History
Elenevo was founded at the end of the XVIII century, thanks to the reforms of Anthony Tizengauz in the Grodno district of the Trok voivodship [2] . In the years 1780-1800 it had the status of a city.
As a result of the Third Partition of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Elena became part of Prussia , and then the Duchy of Warsaw (1807) and the Kingdom of Poland (1812).
In 1786, 26 families lived in Yelenovo, in 1800 there were 671 residents and there were 64 houses [3] , and in 1880 - 659 residents and 84 houses [4] .
In 1975-1998, the village belonged to the Suwalkian Voivodeship .
