History
The pavilion was built in 1953 according to the project of architects Alexander Kolesnichenko and Grigory Savinov . The building is L-shaped in plan, the facade is plastered, the entrance is asymmetrical and decorated with four red brick pilasters, each of which is crowned with a bas-relief image of a sheep’s head. Together with the neighboring pavilions " Horse breeding ", " Reproduction of farm animals ", " Pig breeding " and "Cattle" is included in the complex of the so-called "Animal breeding town" at the exhibition [1] .
The exposition of the pavilion demonstrated methods for raising sheep in the Soviet Union - the opening hall of the pavilion was dedicated to this topic. Live sheep were also shown - about 370 heads of fifty different breeds, goats were also shown in a smaller number. Currently, the pavilion houses the City Equestrian Center, where horseback riding training is provided [1] [2] .
