Suadatta ( Osset. Suadættæ ), formerly Samtskaro ( Georgian სამწყარო ) is a village in the South Caucasus southwest of Tskhinval . According to the administrative-territorial division of South Ossetia , which actually controls the village, it is located in the Znauri district , according to the administrative-territorial division of Georgia - in the Karelian municipality .

Geography
Located in the south-east of the Znaursky district , north-west of the village of Prinev .
Historically, it included 3 parts (3 villages): Lower Samtskaro (Kvemo-Samtskaro, in the southwestern part), Middle Samtskaro (Shua-Samtskaro, in the northern middle part) and Upper Samtskaro (Zemo-Samtskaro, in the northwestern part).
Population
According to the 1989 census, 57 residents (100% Ossetians ) lived in the village, including 15 people in N. Samtskaro, Cf. Samtskaro - 30 people, V. Samtskaro - 12 people. [five]
The 2015 census (conducted by the authorities of South Ossetia) recorded 38 residents in the village. [four]
