Biography
Childhood and Youth
Gennady was born in Moscow on April 15, 1942 in a sports family. Father - Oleg Nikolaevich Logofet (1917-1995), master of sports in bullet shooting, fencing and modern pentathlon, professor, candidate of pedagogical sciences. Mother - Nina Andreevna (1920-2001) - a judge of the international category in gymnastics [3] . Gennady Logofet continued family sports traditions, having loved football since childhood. This hobby was noticed by parents and in every possible way encouraged the young man.
In 1956, Gennady was in the youth football school ( FSM ) - an organization that unites young talented football players in Moscow. One of the first Logofet coaches was Konstantin Beskov , with whom Gennady subsequently still crossed paths in the football field, already being a coach.
In 1959, two metropolitan clubs of CSK MO and Spartak became interested in the young defender at once. Gennady Logofet, a fan of the “red-white” since childhood, did not hesitate to make his choice, to which he was faithful throughout his playing career.
Football career
Spent his entire playing career in one club - Spartak Moscow . Participant in the 1970 World Cup and 1968 European Championship . Master of Sport.
In 1971, Logofet in the USSR Cup final with Rostov SKA equalized the score 20 seconds before the final whistle. The next day, Spartak won and won the cup in the replay .
The captain of Spartak from 1971 to 1974. At the time of the end of his career in 1975, he was the record holder of Spartak in the number of matches held. Only after more than 10 years, Logofet was ahead of Fedor Cherenkov and Rinat Dasayev in this indicator.
The USSR national team includes a participant in the 1964 Olympic Games, the 1968 European Championship and the 1970 World Cup.

Coaching
In 1976, after the completion of his playing career, Gennady Logofet became a student of the Graduate School of Trainers, which had just begun its work. Together with Gennady Olegovich, such famous football players and coaches as Eduard Malofeev , Viktor Prokopenko , Kakhi Asatiani studied.
After training in 1978, he had an internship in Italy - one week at Torino and Milan , and then by distribution Logoget became the second coach of the USSR youth team. Soon after, Gennady Olegovich tried his hand at playing the role of head coach, leading the second team of the USSR just created before that.
From 1980 to 1982, he worked as an assistant to Beskov in the first team of the USSR.
In 1984, Gennady made his debut as head coach at the club level. He led the " Tavria " and went with his family to Simferopol. Then there was a return to the capital and work as the head of the Krasnaya Presnya team. After a pause was taken, which in 1992 was interrupted by coaching in the United Arab Emirates. For a year, Logofett worked with Yuri Morozov in the local Sharjah team.
Then another long pause in the coaching followed, until in 2000, Logofeta invited Oleg Romantsev to the coaching staff of his native Spartak. A few years later, there was a three-year period of work in the Moscow Maccabi amateur club from 2005 to 2008.
Other activities
From 1992 to 1995, Logofet worked at Mosprofsport, held the position of Director for Sports and Public Relations of the Russian-Spanish House.
Since 1996, he was president of the Gol-Ecologiya company, which is building environmentally friendly football fields.
From 1996 to 2000 and since 2001 - President of the Spartak Veterans Club.
Since 2000 - Member of the FIFA Football Committee. [five]
Logofet was repeatedly invited to Soviet and Russian television. The legend of Spartak spent the entire European Championship 1992 as a commentator, commented on many other tournaments and matches.
He died on December 5, 2011 in Moscow [6] . December 8, 2011 was buried at the Don cemetery [7] .
