Women's biathlon competitions in the individual 15 km race at the 2018 Winter Olympics were held on February 15 . The venue for the competition was the center of ski racing and biathlon "Alpensia" . The start was given at 5:15 pm local time ( UTC + 9 ).

Initially, the race was scheduled for February 14, 20:05 local time ( UTC + 9 ), but the start was postponed the next day due to strong wind ^[1] . The competition was attended by 90 athletes from 26 countries. The current Olympic champion was the Belarusian biathlete Daria Domracheva .

The Swedish champion Hannah Eberg became sensationally Olympic champion. Before the Olympics, she had never won a prize at the World Cup and was in 58th place in the overall World Cup 2017/2018 .
