Speed skating competitions among women at a distance of 1000 meters at the 2018 Winter Olympics were held on February 14 at the Olympic Oval of Kannyn . 31 athletes from 14 countries took part in the competition. Qualification for the Games was carried out according to the results of the four stages of the World Cup 2017/2018. The competition starts at 19:00 local time ( UTC + 9 ).
The current Olympic champion was the Chinese speed skater Zhang Hong .
