Biography
Papuan by origin. In 1945 he was trained at the courses of the Dutch civil administration. In his youth he became interested in the ideas of Indonesian nationalism .
An active participant in the struggle for the independence of Papua and Indonesia. He advocated the unification of Dutch New Guinea with Indonesia.
In July 1946, he was among the delegates to the conference in Malino , at which he opposed the creation of the State of East Indonesia , initiated by the Netherlands .
In March 1948, he participated in a rebellion that broke out on Biak Island against the Dutch government.
He was harassed by the Dutch authorities, in 1954-1961 was in custody. After his release from prison in 1961, he was one of the founders of the Irian Party.
After Indonesia gained independence in 1964-1973. was governor of the province of Papua .
For fruitful efforts to unite Papua with Indonesia in 1973 he was elected as a deputy of Papua in the elections to the People’s Consultative Congress . In 1977, he was appointed to the High Advisory Council as a representative for Papua Affairs.
F. Kaisiepo belongs to the name Irian Jaya ( Western New Guinea ).
He was buried in the pantheon of heroes of the Indonesian revolution on about. Biak .

- In 1993, in connection with the 30th anniversary of the transfer of Papua to the Indonesian state, he was recognized as the National Hero of Indonesia .
