Hwenekilde, Jorgen

Jørgen Hvenekilde ( dates. Jørgen Hvenekilde ; genus. August 29, 1935 ) - Danish chess player , master of FIDE . In the early 1970s. was one of the strongest chess players in Denmark . Repeatedly participated in national championships (the best result - 4th place in 1978). As part of the Danish team, he participated in the European team championship in 1970 and a number of other international team tournaments and matches. He regularly participated in annual Copenhagen international tournaments. In the 2000s He actively participated in veteran competitions, including in the world and European championships among veterans. The main achievement in the domestic arena was the victory in the tournament of Danish chess players (Aarhus, 1983), when he, among others, beat L. Schandorff , B. Brink-Klaussen , Er. Pedersen and B. Jacobsen , who in different years became champions of Denmark.
