Geography
In the second half of the XVI and the first half of the XVII century. The Little Nogai, or Nogai of the so-called Lesser Nogai Horde, wandered mainly in the northern part of the interfluve of the lower Volga and Don, until around the 1640s. were not driven out from there by the Kalmyks over the Western Manych River . After this, the nomadic nomads of the Lesser Horde in the south and southwest reached the lower Terek and the northern banks of the Kuban River . Thus, starting from the end of the first half of the 17th century, the Small Nogai wandered through the south of modern Rostov Region , the north of Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories, and the extreme west of Kalmykia .
