History
In the "List of populated places of the Samara province according to 1859," the settlement is mentioned as the official village of Bobrovka, Nikolayevsky Uyezd (3rd camp) near the Zhestyanka river, located 50 versts from the district city of Nikolaevsk . There were 45 courtyards in the village and 370 inhabitants (197 men and 173 women) [2] .
According to the “List of Populated Places of the Samara Province According to 1889 Information” in the village of Bobrovka, belonging to Klintsy volost , there were 81 courtyards and 543 people lived. There were four windmills and a seasonal bazaar [3] . According to the census of 1897, 741 people lived in Bobrovka (also known as Samodurikha ), 730 of whom were Orthodox [4] .
According to the data of 1910, there were 180 courtyards in Bobrovka and 922 people lived (460 men and 462 women). The church, parochial school and four windmills functioned [5] .
Geography
The village is located in the southern part of the district, in the steppe zone, within the Syrtovaya Plain , on the banks of the Zhestyanka River, at a distance of approximately 56 kilometers (as the crow flies) to the south-east of the city of Pugachev . The absolute height is 50 meters above sea level [6] .
