Geography
Parallel to the village flows the river Belevka .
Three kilometers from the village there are lakes (quarries) surrounded by pine trees, a lot of vacationers are there in the summer, including from Tula and Moscow .
History
In the XVIII century, the village belonged to the parish of the church of the village of Kuznetsovo , its population was landlord peasants [2] . In the list of populated areas of the Tula province for 1859, it is mentioned as the owner's village of Spassky Vyselki of the Bogoroditsky district , in which there were 17 yards [3] .
In the 1920s, the village became the administrative center of the Novospassky village council and included 69 households [4] .
Population
In 1857, according to salary books in the village, there were 205 parishioners [2] . In 1859, the population was 223 people (110 men and 113 women) [3] .
According to the All-Union Census of 1926, 392 people lived in the village (191 men and 201 women) [4] .
